Calymene Fossil Trilobites

Calling all Fossil lovers! We have a great selection of Calymenes, related to trilobites (extinct arthropods) dating from the Ordovician Period (505 to 438 million years ago). Well known in the fossil record, Calymene remains have been found in which impressions or actual remains of appendages are preserved. 

We love to call them "Mud Bugs" because that's what they look like! However, they are fascinating fossils. Great specimens for Earth Science and Geology teachers. Kids love them! 

Ours are approximately 3" x 2". The photograph is for illustration only. Every "mud bug" is unique and yours may vary a bit in size and color.
